Author Guidelines

CTD adheres to APA 7. Current deadlines, manuscript types, and guidelines for submission may be found here. 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Please follow APA 7 guidelines. Manuscripts should be double-spaced; use a 12-point font; have 1" margins; adhere to APA 7 headings; and all illustrations, figures, and tables should placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Where available, include stable URLs in your reference list.
  • Your submission file must be an OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. Do NOT submit PDFs.
  • To ensure blind peer review, the manuscript should not contain any information that identifies the author(s), including names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or self-identifying references. For example, write self-citations in a way that does not reveal authorship (e.g., replace identifying references with “Author, Year” where necessary). Please be sure you have anonymized all metadata for your file, such as the document author in your document properties.   • By submitting your manuscript, you affirm that it has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, include DOIs in your reference list. Please use this link to check each article you cite for a DOI: https://search.crossref.org/.
