Abstract
Oklahoma's first Territorial election, administered under the 1890 Organic Act, was typical of the early Nineteenth Century. By today's standards it was primitive. By, the end of the Territorial period in 1907, Oklahoma had a modem election system. The shape this election system took was a product of Territorial political struggles.
