Abstract
Members of the Almanac Advisory Committee were provided
with a list of over 1800 women whose accomplishments have
been documented in some way for inclusion in the Women's
Archives at Oklahoma State University. Women who are in the Oklahoma
Women's Hall of Fame were excluded from consideration. Committee members selected women whose accomplishments were most noteworthy or
newsworthy, bringing honor and distinction to themselves and to Oklahoma.
