Abstract
The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters (OAB) Hall of Fame was
established and began inducting members in 1987. Since that time 43
veteran broadcasters, of which five are women, have been awarded
membership in the Hall. The Hall of Fame Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the OAB. Recipients are individuals who have attained a position of national prominence in the industry or its allied fields, or have been a major contributor to the growth and welfare of radio and television in Oklahoma or nationally, and been an exemplary steward of broadcasting. Nominees must have an Oklahoma background by birth, residence, or employment and they must have worked in the broadcast industry or a related field.
