Abstract

At the present time there is probably less known about the coleopterous fauna of Oklahoma than about that of any other state of the Union. This is due in part to the early retention of the area as an Indian rescrvation- it was not opened at all to general settlement until 1889, and in part to its intermediate situation, so that it was not included in any of the early government surveys.
