Abstract
The authors of this paper are attempting an analysis of the fish fauna of Oklahoma. and this paper is the second of a series which they hope to prepare. The first paper, entitled "A report on the fishes of Oklahoma, with description of new genera and slxries," by A. I. Ortenburger and Carl. L. Hubbs, was pul)lished in 1926.' As before, Ortenburger is directing the field work, while Huhbs is making most of the identifications of the specimens obtained. The authors are mutually responsible for all general statements and for the conclusions drawn from both the field and laboratory studies. The photographs were made by Ortenburger.
