Abstract

Assuming no major scientific breakthrough in tools that protect against the sexual transmission of HIV in the near future, to prevent HIV infection among women in the United States, it will be necessary not only to promote changes that support the active role of women in prevention but also to promote change in the attitudes and behaviors of men.
