Pearl Dean Toumb

P. Dean Toumbs, 73, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015. She was born June 17, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Howard and Gracie Toumbs. Dean was retired from her teaching career for the Tulsa Public School system. The majority of her teaching career was spent at Madison middle school where she taught for many years and received many accolades. During her teaching career, Dean was a member of OAHPERD. She loved the outdoors, her cabin at the lake, fishing, golfing, whittling, softball, basketball and researching her family ancestry among other interests. Dean created summer camps where she coached and mentored countless young people.

Dean is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lea Ann Sampley, and her great great niece Jaylinn Zaring. Dean is survived by her lifelong friend, Dianne Walker; nieces, Teddy Zaring of Quinlan, Texas, Lori Wheatley (Andy) of Springfield, Oregon; great nephews, Brandon Zaring (Brandi) of Eugene, Oregon, Tyler Zaring (Melissa) of Wylie, Texas, Collin Wheatley of Ft. Stewart, Georgia, and great nieces Andrea Wheatley of Walnut Creek, California, Kelsey Wheatley-Migues (Josh) of West Point, New York, three great nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends. Dean lived and loved life to the fullest and said: "I have nothing to fear, I have lived a great life and that's the greatest gift anyone can have."
