Submission Rules

Submitted manuscripts cannot be previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic).  Please note: “publication” in a working paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to the Collegiate Aviation Review International, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at the Collegiate Aviation Review International. If you have concerns about the submission terms for the Collegiate Aviation Review International, please contact the editors.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to the Collegiate Aviation Review International will be assessed for originality using plagiarism detection software.  Plagiarism or other acts of scholarly dishonesty are serious offenses that may result in the manuscript being rejected and the authors prohibited from submitting scholarly works for future publication consideration.

  • Submissions will only be accepted in Microsoft Word .doc or .docx file formats.
  • Page size should be 8.5 x 11-inches
  • All margins (top, bottom, left, and right) should be 1-inch.
  • Use a single-column layout with left-justified, right-ragged margin.  This means text is aligned with the left margin and words that overrun the right margin fully move to the next line of text (does not split words between lines with a hyphen).
  • All manuscripts should be written in English.
  • Main body text should use Times New Roman, 12-point font.  Footnotes should use Times New Roman, 10-point font.
  • Single space text within paragraphs, double-space between paragraphs.
  • The first line of each paragraph should be indented 0.5 inches.
  • Begin your manuscript with the first sentence of the introduction.  Do not include a title page or abstract in the body of your manuscript.  These items will be added prior to publication by the editorial staff.
  • Do not include page numbers, headers, or footers.  These items will be added by the editorial staff.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted with tables, figures, appendices, and other content embedded within the document.  Figures or tables should be left-justified and labeled.  Once accepted, the editors may request high-definition figures or other modifications if tables or figures are illegible, pixelated, or otherwise look unprofessional.
  • Authors should carefully copyedit manuscripts prior to submission.
  • Citations, references, and other formatting considerations not previously addressed should conform to guidance contained in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), Sixth Edition
